Description
Feel a crawling sensation as this cluster of redback spiders spiral from the centre, escaping over the edge. The prominent red stripe cleanly emanates power, with blacks strongly contrasting pure white.
Editor’s Notes
An expansive square of meticulously designed pure silk. Tightly woven and luxuriously smooth, the vibrant colours pop with a subtle sheen. Refined edges inhibit fray and make the square look great no matter how it is folded and worn.
We encourage you to pair your pocket square with anything you wish. Traditionally, the reds, whites and blacks pair well with grey and burgundy jackets, offering duo-tonal contrast.
Details and Care
- 100% 14 Momme Silk Twill
- Hand-rolled Edges
- Designed in Australia
- Handmade in Como, Italy
We strongly recommend a gentle, cold hand wash and drip dry. Because of the nature of natural and organic fabrics there are small fibres and slubs in the fabric that can lift the print in tiny spots with washing and general wear. Please follow washing instructions to minimise this effect. Do not rub or ring.

Latrodectus hasseltii
The Redback spider, also known as the Australian Black Widow, is a highly venomous species originating in South Australian deserts. The adult female is easily recognised by her spherical black body with a prominent red stripe on the upper side of her abdomen and an hourglass-shaped red/orange streak on the underside. Females usually have a body length of about 10 millimetres. It  preys on insects, spiders and small vertebrates that become ensnared in its web.
It kills its prey by injecting a complex venom through its two fangs when it bites, before wrapping them in silk and sucking out the liquefied insides.
The redback is one of the few spider species that can be seriously harmful to humans, and its liking for habitats in built structures has led it to being responsible for a large number of serious spider bites in Australia.
